Celebrating World Microbiome Day 2025

Each year on June 27th, we celebrate #WorldMicrobiomeDay to spotlight the invisible yet powerful communities of microorganisms, microbiomes, that shape our health, food systems, and environment.

This year’s theme, Microbiome 101: What You Need to Know, focused on making microbiome science accessible to everyone. From gut health to sustainable agriculture, the goal was to raise awareness and share clear, practical insights into how microbiomes affect our daily lives.

Featured Activity: Live Webinar – “Why Microbiomes Matter for You and the World Around You”
A highlight of the day was a live, online webinar featuring leading experts who explored the many ways microbiomes influence our bodies, food, and planet. Whether you’re curious about health, food safety, or sustainability, this session offered valuable takeaways for all.
