New “Research” section now available on the Domino website

Fried Tempeh or Tempe is a traditional Malay dish

The DOMINO website has been expanded with a new Research section, offering an overview of the scientific work carried out within the project, the first results obtained so far, and the planned next steps.

The new section brings together information on DOMINO’s main research activities, providing a structured view of how the project investigates the role of fermented foods in health and sustainability, and how research findings are developed in close interaction with stakeholders across Europe.
The section will soon include more activities and is available at: https://www.domino-euproject.eu/research/

Links to key research areas

The new section provides direct access to several dedicated pages that describe specific research streams in more detail:

  • Consumer research
This page presents results from a large cross-country survey examining consumers’ knowledge, attitudes, and expectations regarding fermented foods, health, and sustainability. These insights support product development and communication strategies within the project. Click here
  • Living Labs
The Living Labs page describes participatory research activities carried out in real-life settings, where researchers, consumers, industry actors, and other stakeholders collaborate to test concepts, products, and methods related to fermented foods. Click here
  • Case studies
The Case Studies section introduces the fermented food products developed within DOMINO, including both traditional and novel plant-based foods. Each case study presents the rationale, development process, and research focus of the product. Click here
